What am I gonna do with four pounds (less a half dozen scoops) of this stuff? I was hoping to find a decent French Roast that I could get at a reasonable price, and take advantage of the free Amazon Prime shipping. But who is Jeremiah, and what exactly was he picking?

THIS WAS NOT THE SOLUTION!

The beans in this coffee are visibly inconsistent in their roast. Some beans appear almost raw, some are dark like good French Roast should be, and most are mildly brown like a Columbian. The beans also are small in comparison to all other coffees that I've tried, although I don't know what that signifies; the appearance is like beans that never fully matured.

I've avoided Starbucks coffee - although its generally very good, they kind of burn the beans, plus its way overpriced to get the brand name.

The best alternative I've found, and the one I'm going back to, is the Barista Brava French Roast found online at the Sam's Club site. The beans are dark, plump, and consistent in quality, with a flavor at least as good as Starbucks. It might be a little more expensive than Jeremiah's Pick once you throw in the shipping, but at least its palatable.

My favorite aspect of the glove is the fact that it never hardens. This is great for me because over the summer I work for a company that buries fiber optic cable and I have to be able to grip the cable. the gloves that i used to own were just regular leather and got very stiff and difficult to grip with. These gloves are very good for grip and they also stay flexible no matter how many times the gloves get wet. They also last quite well under continued use. I use them on average about 50-60 hours a week. The cloth on the thumb is useful but kind of gimmicky.

I've owned three pairs of these gloves. They aren't cheap but in my experience they last and are the best general utility gloves around. Some of Ironclad's other offerings have a strange plastic material in the grip areas that actually hinders grip. These however have rubber impregnated cloth that provides excellent grip and wears quite well.

They aren't fantastic in terms of tactile sense (the rubber grip pieces are pretty thick making it hard to feel small items, grab nails, and screws etc...). But you can't have everything.

They take a little while to break in, but once the glove has had a chance to mold to your hand a bit they fit fine. Fit seems to be in line with most other gloves I've worn (I wear a large/10 glove and have longish fingers).

The latest pair I bought has a new strap design. There's a wrap-around neoprene strap with hook and loop fastener on the end, I'm up in the air so far on this but otherwise I know these to be some good solid gloves.

This coffee is very good. I read the reviews on how the acidity is low and won't bother the stomach and it is true. No indigestions or acidy burney feelings.
We enjoy a cup or two each morning and we will order again. Makes wonderful ice coffee with left overs. Enjoy!

Very Good Coffee. I use a French Press and it still does not not leave any kind of unpleasant flavour as an aftertaste. However, I find, when you add a bit of half and half, you can actually taste the subtle flavors of this coffee even better. A mild lighter roast coffee which actually means MORE CAFFEINE! Delicious: great in the morning or mid-day.

It is also good to know that it is shade grown and fair trade. This means that the growers receive a fair price AND if it is shade grown there are other non-coffee trees around which means the coffee beans will have a better flavour, there will be a larger variety of plant species in the forests and birds can have homes and song birds that winter there have a larger habitat and diet.

I bought this as a housewarming/Xmas present for a friend. It is a nice quality for how little the book cost me. The leather doesn't feel cheap or plastic-like, and the inserts are all professional looking. This book is much more contemporary and stylish than the typical kitchen recipe binder. I love that it comes with its own index cards and plastic pages that they fit right into. I'm tempted to keep it for myself, but I wouldn't mind purchasing it again. :)

This will be a long review, in order to give you the most information I can - my apologies in advance.

The book is a 3 ring binder, and seems quite sturdy. I don't think it will fall apart anytime soon. The book also opens nice and flat for easy viewing. It comes with black dividers headed as follows:
1. Appetizers
2. Soups and Salads
3. Sauces, Dressings
4. Breads, Grains
5. Dairy, Eggs
6. Fruits, Vegetables
7. Pasta
8. Poultry
9. Seafood
10. Meats
11. Desserts
12. Beverages

The 4x6 recipe cards (white with black ink) come already inserted into their plastic sleeves, and are lined on both sides. The cards aren't busy, which I like as it makes it easier to read what I've written on them. There's LOTS of room for writing, too. The sleeves are designed for the cards to be inserted on the inside, so no real chance of them slipping out unintentionally.
You get twenty plastic "pages" with cards inserted, and twenty more empty. It looks as if the book will easily hold twenty more, making a total of 120 recipes (but you may want to check my math!).

I wish the books came in different solid colors, as I plan to get a few more. Then I will use one for meals, one for cookies, one for other baking, and so on. You would be limited only by your imagination. I'm considering the other options available, but I think I prefer the solid color, aesthetically. The book sits on a shelf with my other cookbooks, making it easily accesible, especially compared with the recipe box I used to use.

Oh- and there is a spot on the front of the book for a card with an initial on it. The cards are provided in the book, sans X and Z. You could use your last name--I believe that's the intent, or the first letter of the book's contents (C is for cookie!)

I looked for a long time before deciding on this recipe book, and I am very happy with it. One of our daughters is getting married this spring, and I plan to buy her several of these as part of her shower gift. Amazon sells extra palstic sleeves for it (you can get 20 for $7.95, or a 3 pack of 20 for $12.67!), and a reasonable facsimile of the cards, too (40 cards for $8.17, at this writing).

All in all a great purchase, and once again, kudos to Amazon!
